Ok, let's be blunt. Not that Australia is suffering from any major tourist lowest point right now, but we just want to get there quickly. There is no better place for that vacation home than in Australia. If you've never been here before, then do not allow Australia to be just something you read in books or seen the Discovery Channel. Discover it for yourself.
It's so easy to lose yourself in Australia. The first thing you'd probably be amazed to discover here is that you do not arrive knowing a soul, but only for a few seconds. Aussies are a friendly bunch, you can bet on it. Watch a colleague asks you kindly could stop over to their table to share a beer or a cafe au lait with them, because the next thing you know, it'll be toasting with them for the nth circle while talking about both the meaning and meaningless things.
And the rest of the world is here too. Greeks, Chinese, Indonesians, Britons, Italians, Vietnamese, attendance list goes on. Passing any Melbourne kaleidoscopic street, you get the feeling that you're in some sort of film, with a high-powered action, all-star cast and great production design. The story goes on well at midnight, and caffeine-awaken people refuse from theater complexes in the parks, museums and restaurants and back to the cafe. There really is no need for land for a story, you need only willing suspension of disbelief
.Of course, the most interesting part of any trip is a roundabout. Take a hike in the hinterland and discover ancientness Australian soil as an aboriginal right. Be in your own National Geographic episode. Be your own director and photographer and an ordinary witness. Be awed by the sky and the sun and nature to see the new and upside down (if you will) perspective.
